The Outer Bridge Ensemble

The Outer Bridge Ensemble is a long-distance collective that features Mark DeJong on tenor sax, Steve Hudson on piano, Mike Noordzy on bass, David Freeman on percussion and Jerome Jennings on drums.

Born in New Jersey in 2003, the group performs original music that reflects various musical influences and traditions, with key elements emerging from the jazz tradition. The band has given special emphasis to the use of varied textures, unique instrumentation, changing rhythmic meters, and ensemble interaction.
